Server Host Credits Terms
Last updated Oct 7, 2026
Draft. Not legal advice. A lawyer checks these pages before we take payments.
Credits are how you pay for things on Server Host. These terms are part of the Terms of Service.
What credits are
- Credits are a balance on your Server Host account. You use them to pay for plans, boosts and premade setups on Server Host.
- They are not money, not a bank account, and not Minecraft items. They only work on Server Host, and they are not an in-game currency on any server.
- They have no cash value. You cannot turn them back into money, cash them out, sell them or trade them.
- They cannot be moved to another account. The only way to give credits to someone is a gift code (see below).
- They do not expire. Buying credits does not start a timer.
- Our AI connector and help bot can never spend your credits. Only you can, in the panel.
Buying credits (defaults, for review)
- 100 credits cost $1 in US dollars.
- Bundles: $5 for 500, $10 for 1,000, $25 for 2,750 and $50 for 5,750. You can also top up any amount from $5 to $50. Larger bundles include bonus credits.
- Plans cost 500, 1,000 or 2,000 credits a month ($5, $10 and $20). Plans do not renew by themselves unless you switch that on.
- If you upgrade a plan in the middle of a month, you pay the difference for the days left in the month, in credits, and the upgrade starts right away.
- A boost costs 250 credits for 3 days. Paid plans get a discount on boosts: 10% on the $5 plan, 20% on the $10 plan and 30% on the $20 plan.
- Premade setups: [which are free and what the paid ones cost is not decided yet].
- Prices and bundles can change for the future. They never change the credits you already hold.
- You can pay by card and PayPal, and with Apple Pay and Google Pay where our provider supports them. [Payment methods depend on the provider, to be confirmed.]
- Payments are handled by [payment provider, to be confirmed], which is the seller of record. We never see or keep your card number. Taxes (like sales tax or VAT) may be added, and the total is shown before you pay.
- If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you buy. If you are under 16, you pay through an "Ask a parent to buy" link: a parent opens it and buys credits for your account.
- Gift codes: you can buy a code and send it to someone, who redeems it into their own account. A code works once. We log every purchase and redemption. Refunds of codes nobody has redeemed follow the refund rules below. [Wording of gift codes is for the lawyer.]
- We may also grant credits ourselves (for example for support or a giveaway). Those are a gift and have no cash value either.
When a plan cannot renew
- We warn you by email and in the panel 7 days and again 3 days before a renewal that your balance cannot cover.
- If a paid plan cannot renew, your server drops to the free limits. Nothing is deleted. If the server holds more than the free disk space, it cannot start until you free up space or the plan renews.
Free credits you can earn
You can earn some free credits by logging in daily, inviting a friend who makes a server, and when players vote for your server in our hub. To keep it fair:
- Daily login means playing on Server Host that day: joining our hub or any server on it. You need to have linked your Minecraft account to your account for it to count. You get a small amount each day (default 5 credits) and a bonus every 7th day (default 20 more). If you miss a day, your streak steps back 2 days. It does not go to zero.
- Inviting a friend pays both of you only once your friend's server has real players: by default 3 or more different players on 3 different days.
- Votes: each player can vote for a server once a day. How many credits a vote pays is [not decided yet].
- You can earn at most 30 a day and 400 a month, and hold at most 1,000 earned credits at once.
- Credits over the limit are simply not paid. Nothing is taken away and nobody is banned for it. The account may get a look from a person to check that nothing unfair is going on.
- Earned credits are for verified accounts only, and cannot be moved or given.
- Making extra accounts or tricking the system to farm credits is against our rules, and we may remove credits that were got that way.
- Free credits are a thank-you and may change for the future.
No refunds (with one exception)
All credit purchases are final. We do not give refunds on credits. We say this clearly at checkout, before you pay.
The one exception: if a purchase was not authorized (for example, a child used a parent's card without the parent knowing), the parent or card owner can write to us within 60 days of the purchase and ask for a refund of the credits from it that are still unspent. A person checks the purchase and refunds the unspent part. Credits already spent are not refunded. [Wording is for the lawyer.]
We may also fix a mistake on our side (for example, you were charged twice).
If you think a charge is wrong, please write to us at [contact email] first. We can usually sort it out quickly.
If you are in the EU, UK or another place with a 14-day cancel right
Many places give buyers a 14-day right to cancel online purchases. For digital things we hand over at once, like credits, you can give that right up. At checkout you will see a tick box. By ticking it you agree that:
- we may give you the credits straight away, and
- you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the credits are delivered.
[Exact EU and UK wording, and whether the box is needed for each country, is for the lawyer.]
If something goes wrong
- If we close your account for breaking the rules, credits are handled as the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy say. [Whether unspent bought credits are refunded after a ban or a shutdown is open, for the lawyer.]
- If you close your own account, unspent credits are lost [to confirm]. Spend them or write to us first.
- If we close Server Host completely, we will tell you ahead of time [how, to confirm], and will [refund or honour unspent bought credits, to confirm].
- Chargebacks: if you ask your bank for a chargeback instead of writing to us first, the unspent credits from that purchase are removed and your servers drop to the free limits. Nothing is deleted and we do not lock your account. Please write to us first, so we can sort it out quickly. Unusually large or fast purchases may be looked at by a person. They are not blocked automatically.
Not gambling, not pay-to-win
Credits only buy hosting, plans, boosts and premade setups from Server Host. They never buy random rewards, and they do not give players power over each other. Crate keys on our hub are earned, never bought.
