Connect Claude
Add the connector to Claude on the web, then use it in the Claude desktop and phone apps too.
DraftThis page is a first draft and may change.
You add the connector once, on the Claude website. After that it works in the Claude desktop app and the Claude phone apps too, because they use the same account. Free Claude accounts can add one custom connector, and you only ever need one for all your servers.
Menu names in Claude change from time to time. If a step looks different, look for Connectors in Claude's settings.
On the web or the desktop app
-
Open Claude and go to Settings, then Connectors.
-
Choose Add custom connector.
-
For the name, type
Server Host (dev). For the address, paste this:https://mcp.test.quarrymc.net/mcp -
Choose Add, then Connect. Claude sends you to Server Host to sign in.
-
Sign in, then check the consent screen: which servers Claude may reach, and what it may do on each one (Allow, Ask or Block). Change anything you like, then choose Approve.
-
Back in Claude, start a new chat and make sure the connector is switched on for it (in the chat's tools menu).
Now ask something like "list my servers" to check it works.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your Claude organization may need to add the connector for the organization first. Then you connect it for yourself in Settings, Connectors.
On your phone
Add the connector on the web first, as above. Then open the Claude app on your phone, start a new chat and switch the connector on in the chat's tools menu. You do not need to add it again.
Good to know
- Your AI never gets your password. It gets a key that only works through our connector, and you can cut it off at any time in Account, Connected AIs.
- While our own name is still a placeholder, the connector is called Server Host (dev) inside Claude. It changes later; nothing for you to do.
- What happens next, and how Allow, Ask and Block work: see Connecting your AI.
