Schedules
Run restarts, backups and commands on a timer, with one-click presets, in your own time zone.
DraftThis page is a first draft and may change.
A schedule does something for you at a set time: restart the server, make a backup, or run a command, such as a regular message in chat.
Quick add
The top of Schedules has three one-click presets:
- Restart every day at 4am
- Back up every 6 hours
- Restart at 4am with a 5 minute warning (players see a countdown in chat)
They use your time zone, the one your browser is set to.
A scheduled command comes from the same limited list your AI uses, whoever made the schedule: for
example messages, time, weather and game rules. Commands such as op or stop, and messages that
run something when a player clicks them, are refused when you save.
Presets
One-click presets: a daily restart at 4am, a backup every 6 hours, and a restart warning 5 minutes before a restart. You can also run any command on a timer.
Raw cron
Make your own
- Press New schedule.
- Give it a name and pick what it does: Restart, Backup or Command. For a command, type it without the slash. For a restart, choose how many minutes of warning players get.
- Pick when: every few minutes (at least 5), every few hours, every day at a time, or on some days of the week. The editor shows the matching cron line.
- Pick the time zone. Times stay in that zone, so 4am stays 4am when the clocks change.
- The editor shows the next three runs. Save.
If you know cron, choose Custom (cron) and type the five fields yourself. The editor says when a line is not valid.
The list
Each schedule shows when it runs in plain words, its command, the next run and the last run with its result. Use the switch to pause it, Run now to try it, Change or Delete.
Sleeping servers
A schedule does not wake your server. With Only when the server is awake ticked (the default for restarts and commands), a run while the server sleeps is skipped and the list says so. Backups run from the last saved world either way.
Ask your AI
Your AI can make schedules for you, under your Allow, Ask and Block settings. Schedules it made are marked. See The AI page.
