Spawn, warps and random teleport
/spawn, warps and /rtp with its distance, wait time and warm-up settings.
DraftThis page is a first draft and may change.
Spawn
/spawntakes players to the spawn after a short warm-up (3 seconds; moving or getting hurt cancels it).- New players start at the spawn, and players without a bed or respawn anchor come back there after dying (both settings).
- Owners set it with
/setspawnwhere they stand. This also moves the world spawn point, and with it the protected spawn area.
Warps
/warps(or/warpalone) opens the list; click one to go./warp <name>goes straight there.- Owners make one with
/setwarp <name> [icon item], for example/setwarp market minecraft:emerald, and remove one with/delwarp <name>.
Spawn and warps are saved in plugins/sh-travel/warps.yml, so your AI can add them too (with a
description shown in the list).
Random teleport
/rtp (or /wild) sends a player to a random safe spot in the wild: on solid ground, with room to
stand, never in water, lava, on cactus or on tree tops.
| Setting | Starts at |
|---|---|
| Nearest distance from spawn | 300 blocks |
| Farthest distance from spawn | 2,000 blocks (always inside the world border) |
| Wait between random teleports | 30 seconds |
| Warm-up | 3 seconds |
| Worlds where /rtp works | world (add world_nether or world_the_end to allow them) |
Safe spots are found ahead of time in the background (20 per world), so many players can teleport
at once without slowing the server. Right after a restart the first /rtp may say it is still
looking; a few seconds later it works.
Players in combat cannot use these commands or start a teleport, and a warm-up that ends during a fight does not teleport them (see Spawn protection, combat and safety).
