Teams
Teams with roles, team chat, a team home, allies, and no friendly fire.
DraftThis page is a first draft and may change.
Players can make a team with friends. Teammates cannot hurt each other, share a home and a chat, and can team up with one other team as allies. Claims (protected land) are not part of teams yet.
What players do
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/team create <name> [tag] | Makes a team. The tag shows before names, for example [REDS]. |
/team invite <player> | Invites a player (owner and officers). Invites last 5 minutes. A player gets one invite from a team at a time, and nobody can send more than 5 invites a minute, so invites cannot be used to spam someone. |
/team accept <team>, /team deny <team> | Answers an invite. |
/team | Shows your team, who is online, and your allies. |
/team leave | Leaves the team. |
/team kick <player> | Removes a member (officers remove members; the owner removes anyone). |
/team promote <player>, /team demote <player> | Makes a member an officer, or back (owner only). |
/team transfer <player> | Gives the team to another member (owner only). |
/team disband confirm | Removes the team for everyone (owner only). |
/team sethome, /team home | Sets and goes to the team home. Stand still for 3 seconds. |
/team ally <team>, /team unally <team> | Asks a team to be allies, or accepts their ask. |
/tc | Switches your chat to your team only, and back. /tc <message> sends one message (a message, never a command). |
/team list | The biggest teams. |
Safe names
Team names and tags pass the same word filter as names everywhere on our network. You can add your own words on the settings page. Names are one word, 3 to 16 letters, numbers or _.
Team chat
Team chat goes to online teammates and to your server console, marked [Team], so you and your
staff can see it and step in if someone is being unkind, like any other chat line. Other players
do not see it, and we never store it. Your chat filter still checks it. When you turn team chat off
on the settings page, /tc and /team chat stop working and everyone's chat goes to everyone.
Friendly fire
Teammates cannot hurt each other, including with arrows and pets. Allies cannot hurt each other either. You can let teams choose friendly fire for themselves, or let allies fight.

Good to know
- Other parts of your setup use teams: in King of the hill, teammates hold the hill together, and in Lifesteal, teammates cannot steal hearts from each other.
- Team changes are logged in
plugins/sh-teams/audit.logby player id only. - Add-on makers can read teams and listen for teams being made, joined, left and disbanded: see Add-ons for setups.
