Holograms and leaderboards

Floating text and in-game leaderboards for setups: /top, /holo and holograms.yml.

DraftThis page is a first draft and may change.

Leaderboards live in the game only: as floating text (holograms) where you place them, and in the /top menu.

/top

Players type /top to see every leaderboard, then click one for the full list. Their own row is highlighted. The menu shows as a Pane, or as a chest menu for players who chose chest menus.

Ready-made leaderboards:

  • Richest players (money), on setups with our economy,
  • Most played (playtime on your server),
  • Event leaderboards (event wins, boss damage and more) for this week, this season and all time, named like event_wins-week (see Events, leaderboards and seasons),
  • more from the setup itself, for example gens or lifesteal boards.

Leaderboards refresh every 30 seconds (a setting).

Holograms

Stand where the hologram should float, then:

CommandWhat it does
/holo create <id> <text>A hologram with one line. Text can use colours, for example <gold>Welcome!.
/holo addline <id> <text>Adds a line.
/holo setline <id> <line number> <text>Changes a line.
/holo removeline <id> <line number>Removes a line.
/holo board <id> <leaderboard> [rows]A leaderboard hologram, for example /holo board richest money 10.
/holo move <id>Moves it to where you stand.
/holo delete <id> and /holo listRemove one, or see them all.

Lines can show <online> (players online) and <max_players>.

Holograms are saved in plugins/sh-display/holograms.yml, so your AI can place and change them too. They are drawn only for players nearby (48 blocks by default), so they do not slow the server.

Settings

On the settings page under Displays: update every (30 seconds), rows shown in /top (10) and how far away holograms are seen (48 blocks).
