Setup settings and menus

Changing a setup's settings, how menus show, the item collection box, the audit log and undoing money changes.

DraftThis page is a first draft and may change.

Changing settings

Every setup has a friendly settings page in the panel, with a section per part (General, Economy, Rewards, Safety and so on). Each setting says what it does, its range and its unit. Three ways to change one, all doing the same thing:

  1. The settings page in the panel.
  2. Your AI: "raise the starting money to 1,000". Your AI can change most settings; some always ask you first (for example a sell multiplier above 2), some only you can change on the settings page (the lists of commands rewards may run), and a few can never be changed by anyone (crate chances are always shown; keys can never be sold).
  3. The file: each part keeps its values in plugins/<part>/settings.yml, with a note above each value. Changes apply within a few seconds.

A value outside its range is ignored, the old value stays, and the console says which one and why.

In game, owners can also use /shcore settings <part> [setting] [value], for example /shcore settings sh-economy money.starting 1000.

Menus (shop, auction house, crates, warps, leaderboards) open as Panes for players who can see them, and as chest menus for everyone else. Players who use shaders can pick chest menus with /menus chest (and go back with /menus panes). You can show chest menus to everyone with the Menu style setting.

Items that did not fit

When a reward, purchase or returned listing does not fit in a player's inventory, it waits for them. They are told, and /collect gives it to them when they have room. Nothing is dropped on the ground and nothing is lost.

Allowed commands for rewards

Rewards can run console commands only if the command starts with one on a Commands rewards may run list. There are two such lists, and only you can change them, on the settings page; your AI can write rewards but cannot add commands to either list:

  • Base settings (sh-core): for the daily and vote rewards in rewards.yml. By default eco give, shcrates give and say. Only {player} and {uuid} can be filled in.
  • Shared add-on settings (sh-api): for crates, events and bosses. Empty by default, so their command prizes do nothing until you add the start of a command, like eco give.

Commands like op, stop, ban and permission changes are never allowed, whatever is on a list. If a crate, event or boss command prize is refused, add its start to the shared add-on list, not the base one.

The audit log and undoing money changes

  • Money moves of $1,000 or more, owner commands and settings changes are written to plugins/sh-core/audit/ (one file per day). They hold player IDs, never chat or internet addresses.
  • /shcore history <player> shows someone's last money changes, each with a number.
  • /shcore undo <number> undoes one. If the player already spent the money, add force to undo anyway (their balance can then go below zero).

Player data and copies

Player data from our setup plugins is kept in plugins/sh-core/data.db on your server. A copy is made every hour into plugins/sh-core/backups/ (the last 24 are kept); /shcore backup makes one now. Your normal server backups include all of it.

/shcore export writes all of it to one readable JSON file in plugins/sh-core/export/, which you can download from the file manager and keep, even if you move your world elsewhere.

Only on our network

Our setup plugins check with our service when your server starts and every hour. If our service cannot be reached they keep working for 24 hours. They do not run on other hosts. /shcore status shows each part and whether it is running.
