Team and roles

Invite co-owners and staff, give each one the right amount of access, and make your own roles.

DraftThis page is a first draft and may change.

You can invite other people to help run your server. Each person has their own Server Host account and their own role. You stay the owner.

Your own roles

If none of the roles fit, make your own under Team, Roles, New role: give it a name (for example "Builders") and tick what it may do. Every role can see the server. Billing and deleting the server always stay with you, so they cannot be ticked.

Changing a role's ticks changes it for everyone who has that role, straight away. A role can only be deleted once nobody has it and no invite uses it. You can only change or delete a role that has no more access than you have yourself.

Invite someone

  1. Open Team and press Invite.
  2. Type their email and pick a role.
  3. They get an email with a link. They sign in (or make an account) with that same email, confirm the email, and accept. Then they appear in the list.

An invite works for 7 days and only for the email it was sent to. You can cancel it before it is used. Sending a new invite to the same email replaces the old one.

Who can manage the team

The owner and co-owners. Nobody can give someone more access than they have themselves, and the owner cannot be removed or changed.

Change a role or remove someone

Open Team, pick the person, and change their role or press Remove. It takes effect at once: their access to the panel, their SFTP login and their AI's access to this server stop straight away. Anyone can leave a team by themselves with Leave this team.

Their own AI

Co-owners and admins can connect their own AI to a server they help run. It can only do what their role allows, and this server's AI permissions still apply on top. You see their AI on the AI page and can cut its access to your server.

SFTP for team members

Each team member who may use files gets their own SFTP login. Removing someone cuts it off immediately. See Files and SFTP.

Operator on the server

The owner, co-owners and admins who link their Minecraft account are made operator on the server automatically when they join, and get the in-game owner menu (restart, players, quick settings). See Linking with /claim.

The activity log

Everything your team and your AI do is written to the activity log, kept for one year. Open Team, Activity to see who did what and when, and filter it by who did it (you, your team, the AI, our staff or the system). Each entry is chained to the one before it, so an entry that was changed or removed afterwards would show.
